Privacy notice
Squire is a recording, feedback and email assistant operated by Augustin Baudoin. Contact: augustin@rastro.ai.
What we process
When you connect, we store your WhatsApp number and a device access identifier. When you tap Start day, we record from your selected microphone until you end the session or recording is interrupted. Audio is saved on your phone and uploaded in approximately five-minute parts. We process speech into transcripts, summaries and coaching feedback. We also receive messages you send to the Squire WhatsApp number to confirm your connection, manage messaging availability, answer requests, and update your saved coaching and delivery preferences. Direct WhatsApp requests may be processed by OpenAI. Preferences, change history, and message processing records are stored on our server to make changes persistent and reversible. Recorded conversations do not change your settings. The app also sends recording status, selected microphone name, interruption/failure events, event times and a device identifier to Supabase so Render can send recording alerts through WhatsApp. No audio is included in these status events.
Optional Gmail connection
You may connect a Google account to search and read your emails, find email addresses in Google Contacts or past correspondence, and send emails you explicitly request. Squire requests your Google account email identity, read-only Gmail and Google Contacts access, and permission to send mail. It does not request permission to delete or modify existing messages or contacts. Refresh tokens are encrypted server-side and isolated per Squire account. Your direct requests, recent Squire conversation, and relevant email content retrieved for your search are processed by OpenAI to answer your question or prepare a draft. Gmail content is retrieved on demand, not continuously imported; answers and excerpts included in WhatsApp replies remain in the stored conversation history. Attachments are not downloaded. Recipients, subject and body are shown in WhatsApp before you confirm that exact draft. Google receives the email only on your confirmation. Email drafts, confirmation and send-status records are retained on our servers during the pilot until deletion is requested. Gmail connection tokens are removed when you ask Squire to disconnect Gmail; we also attempt to revoke Google's grant. You can separately remove Squire in your Google account permissions. Disconnecting does not delete emails already sent or WhatsApp messages.
Why and where
Your recordings are processed to provide your requested summaries and feedback. The pilot uses Supabase for private cloud storage and database services, Render for server processing, OpenAI for transcription and summaries, and Meta WhatsApp for message delivery. These providers process the information needed to provide their services. Audio is stored in the configured European Supabase region; other processing may take place internationally under each provider's terms. Authorized pilot operators can access recordings and transcripts for support and debugging.
Control and retention
Recording starts only after you confirm it in the app, including when opening a start-recording link from WhatsApp. Tap End day, or confirm a stop-recording link in the app, to stop it. Keep the app running in the background for a session. Record only when the people involved have agreed. Do not use this pilot to record conversations you are not authorized to capture.
Cloud audio, transcripts and recording status events are retained during the pilot until deletion is requested; automatic deletion is not yet implemented. Local copies remain on the phone. To request access, correction, deletion of your recordings/account, or to stop WhatsApp messages, email augustin@rastro.ai from an address where we can reply, providing your connected phone number. We will verify the request before changing or disclosing data. Deleting the phone app does not delete existing cloud copies.
WhatsApp messages already delivered remain subject to your and WhatsApp's message settings. AI-generated summaries and coaching may be inaccurate and are not medical advice or a diagnosis. This pilot is intended for adults.
